About this lesson

Recounts a working method for sketching through a Japan trip: carrying a compact notebook instead of A4 for crowded spaces, roughing in pencil on location and finishing detail later at a cafe, widening subject matter beyond buildings to food, transit and people, and annotating pages with notes for memory.
