Symbolism and the Art of David Zayas

About this lesson

A public-art nonprofit's lesson built around Puerto Rican muralist David Zayas's symbolic street art: students analyze his mural "Otro Rumbo" with a guided worksheet, list the elements of their own identity, then design their own symbolism-based artwork and write a narrative essay from one chosen symbol's point of view.
