Abstract Landscape Painting Explained: Techniques, Color Layering, and Creative Process

About this lesson

Six stages of an abstract landscape: reduce what you observe, lay an active ground, block in value shapes, layer colour, add marks, and edit. Includes a four-step colour-layering sequence based on temperature and transparency, and explains what squeegees, palette knives and rags each do.
