Painting in layers with acrylic

About this lesson

Splits a layered abstract painting into three stages: a loose, fearless first layer of marks and washes, a responsive middle stage for composition, value and texture, and a final problem-solving pass. It includes a checklist and a grayscale-photo test for balance.
