Horror Vacui - Introduction to Diapering

About this lesson

Shows how the diaper patterns in a medieval Islamic manuscript were generated from two basic grids, a square one and a triangular one, and how the grids give endless variations for filling surfaces. Diagrams make it usable for designing dense, fill-every-space ornament; extra pattern files are for paid subscribers.
