About this lesson
A photographed walkthrough of finishing an acrylic or mixed-media painting in three layers: fixative, a brushed isolation coat of acrylic medium thinned with water (at most 50/50) and checked against the light, then a removable varnish. Explains why each layer is there and how the isolation coat makes later varnish removal safe.
