Abstraction: Texture and Pattern

About this lesson

A working abstract painter demonstrates texture-building methods for gestural abstraction: gelli-plate printing, frottage with oil pastel over lino cuts, stencilling with texture paste, hand-made rubber stamps, and sponging or spraying paint onto transparent mesh grounds.
